GLOBAL  IMPACT  STUDIES

If you find the truth, will you believe it?

If any man desires to do God's will, he will have the needed illumination to recognize, and can tell for himself whether the teaching is from God or whether I am speaking from myself and on my own accord.  John 7:17

JOY OF THE FEAST DAYS

For those who follow the Biblical Lunar-Solar Calendar according to the Full Moon, today marks the seventh and last day of the Feast of Tabernacles.   The tenth day of the seventh month marked the Day of Atonement accompanied by a day of personal affliction, soul-searching and reflecting on one's life from the previous year and making amends for sins and transgressions commited.  If you had unrepented and unconfessed sin in your life, then you were in danger of losing your life and also the high-priest might suffer death when he went into the Holy of Holies to atone for the sins of the people.

The Feast of Tabernacles begins on the 15th day of the seventh month and lasts for seven days. Then Lev 23:34-36 states the 8th day is also a holy convocation to Yahuwah.  What is it about that 8th day that is so important?  Could it be that is the day the Messiah will return? The Scriptures only tell us that we will not know the exact day or hour of our Master's return, but we can know the times and seasons.

We notice that today a great number of Christian churches tend to hold Revival meetings around this time period.  Christianity truly has its roots in the Old Testament.  Yahuwah gave His people certain instructions as to exactly how to come before Him.

Ezekiel 46:9 tells us, "But when the people of the land shall come before Yahuwah in the solemn feasts, he that entereth in by the way of the north gate to worship shall go out by the way of the south gate; and he that entereth by the way of the south gate shall go forth by the way of the north gate: he shall not return by the way of the gate whereby he came in, but shall go forth over against it."

We are not to leave the Presence of the Master the same way we enter.  The Master expects to see a change and so do people when you make Him the Master of your life.  I am reminded of a chorus we used to sing in church which had the following lyrics.

"And you won't leave here Like you came in Yahushua's name
Bound, oppressed, tormented, Sick or lame
'Cause the Holy Ghost of Acts Is still the same
You won't leave here Like you came in Yahushua's name."

Now we know that the Hebrew Name of the Messiah is Yahushua, but the meaning is the same. Once you have truly come to the Master, repented of your sin, and follow Him, you will never be the same.   His laws will be written on the tables of your heart, not just on tables of stone as Yahuwah gave to Moses at Mt. Sinai, for He will give you a new heart.  No longer need you be bound by the flesh and desires of this world for He will send His Spirit to empower you to overcome all the weaknesses of our fallen natures.  The desire for the things of the world will lift and you will become a new creature in Messiah.

Even after we come to Him, life has a way of draining that new-found joy and peace that He places in our hearts.  Our enemy, Satan, uses the heart-aches and trials of life to try and overcome us.  What a wonderful time of year is the celebration of the Fall Feast Days.  A time of deep soul-searching, repentance, rejoicing, and renewal.  Go and walk in the indwelling power of His Spirit and in His Name!
